Title of Quilt:  Fur Mackenzie
Description:  After my son choose the guitar fabric, I was stumped on what to do. After much deliberation I choose to do an enlarged design of the guitars. The guitars were done with trumpunto, and outlined with bias tape. I used metallic thread for the strings. The quilting was individual music notes throughout the background to emphasize the plushness of the guitars. The binding piping and a flange for extra color. Fur Mackenzie is also quilted in the bottom using music notes as the letters.
State:  CA
Name(s) of others:  none
Inspiration:  the Music that my son loves and the guitar fabric he choose
Finished Size __" x __":  about 50 x 60

Great job! Even though my son (he's now 53) has put his guitar upstairs in my home, it immediately made me remember his years of playing and composing on a guitar that had been his dad's obsession in the 40's.

How creative you are to build on the fabric's theme instead of just fitting it in somewhere. Kudos to you!
